New Traffic Pattern

You may have noticed the traffic delineators along the guest entrance at the South gate. This is in preparation of the “Trap gate” being installed.  The trap gate is a second gate beyond the entrance that will direct those without authorization back towards the exit.

Please be mindful of this as the resident entrance is now merging into the right lane rather than separating into  the two available lanes.  Thank you for your attention and patience as we continue to keep Wycliffe one of the most beautiful and safe places to live in South Florida.

Feeding Feral Cats

It has been brought to our attention that there are some residents feeding feral cats in and around the property.  Wycliffe currently has a program in place that addresses the feral cat community and their processes must be left as is.  Feeding animals in non-designated areas invites other critters onto the property and they will remain waiting for their next meal.

You may only feed your own pets on your own property and food many not be left outside and unattended for any amount of time.  If you are found to be feeding “wild” animals you may be subject to fines from both the WCA and Palm Beach County.

PB County Ordinance 98-22 Section 4-8 (c) Feral cat harborer/caregiver requirements. (1) It is unlawful for any person to intentionally provide food, water, or other forms of sustenance or care to a feral cat or feral cat colony/colonies…

November 12, 2018 Comcast Service Issue

WCA Residents,
Your WCA Board and Management team are well aware that there are still many service related issues with your Comcast service.  I recently sent out a final demand letter to our points of contact as well as select high ranking members of the NBC/Comcast C-Suite in Philadelphia. The response was immediate and they have agreed to send some representatives to our BOD meeting this week.
The plan is for them to hear CURRENT and specific issues you are experiencing and develop a plan to investigate and rectify all as soon as possible.  If you do not regularly attend WCA meetings there is no need to adjust your schedule for this one.  Simply email your service issue to Jamie Hand and/or me. Alternatively, you may discuss with your WCA representative for them to bring up at the meeting. Following this week’s WCA meeting, Comcast has committed to schedule a meet-and-greet with leadership level technicians.
Finally, the Comcast customer service representative that is scheduled in the WCA building on Mondays and Wednesday’s 1-5pm will be replaced in the coming week or so.  In the meantime, rather than having to come into the WCA, please email Jamie so that she can forward to the service department.  We will send out another communication once a replacement has been assigned.
Please email only current issues to Jamie Hand and/or me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and dThis email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Thank you all for your continued patience while this is sorted out.

October 5, 2018 Paving Project Update

The second phase of the road repair and paving project will start up again next week. There will be road and lane closures, so please yield to the traffic cones and barricades.  The following is the schedule for the remainder of the project:

Monday, October 8th – Small areas along Wycliffe Country Club Blvd. close to the South gate, this will affect the entry at the gates. Please notify your vendors and or guests.

Wednesday, October 10th – One lane on each side of WCC Blvd

Friday, October 12th – The remaining lane on each side of WCC Blvd

Saturday, October 13th – Traffic striping in all areas

Friday, October 12th – The WCA Community Center Parking lot will be shut down starting after business hours on Thursday and remain closed until Monday morning. No motor vehicles or golf cars will be permitted into the parking area until re-opened by Management.

 October 5, 2018 Lake Levels

Many of you have noticed over the last few days that the levels in some lakes have been lowered. This was caused by a pump on the south side of the property in need of major repairs.  The Clubs Director of Agronomy, Andrew Fike has been instrumental in identifying the issue and securing a vendor.  That vendor will be on site this coming Monday to pull ours out for repair and replace with a temporary pump.
If all goes as planned, we should see a healthy water level rather quickly.

Florida FWC Response to Report of Coyote in Wycliffe

Good afternoon Wycliffe Residents ,

Thank you for taking the time to discuss the coyotes in Wellington with me.

I have attached several documents concerning coyotes to this email. You may distribute them to anyone you’d like. They include hazing techniques, FAQ’s and general information from the FWC, the Humane Society, the University of Florida, and the USDA Wildlife Services.  [Ed.- Links to these documents are available on the WCA website:]

I encourage residents to secure all attractants (pet food, garbage, bird seed, fallen fruit, etc.) as this is commonly what brings coyotes into communities. It is important to keep cats indoors and dogs should be kept on a short leash and supervised while outdoors. Residents can also use hazing techniques (such as yelling, throwing rocks, using air horns, etc.) to scare the coyotes away as they see them. Coyotes are generally not a threat to people and are usually easily scared off.

Additional information can be found on our website at the links below.

The Colorado Division of Wildlife has produced a short video on living with coyotes. It can be found in the link below.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Thank you for contacting FWC.

Letter to WCA Members
Dear Members,
Ultimately, you the members are responsible for the safety and well being of your grandchildren and guests.  We have sent many emails and have signs posted in and around the clubhouse stating that one must be 16 and hold a valid drivers license to operate a golf cart.  This holiday season there were multiple abuses of this rule and an accident where there were injuries.  A golf cart is not a toy.  We know that kids think its cool to drive the golf cart, but it isn't safe.
We will continue to send reminders of this rule, and if we find it being abused, you will be fined without a warning!
It's unfortunate that we may have to levy a fine to get the attention of those who think it's okay for their grandchildren.  It isn't okay for anyone under 16 and without a drivers license.
On the subject of golf carts:
  • They were designed to seat two people.
  • We know that sometimes you need to squeeze another person in when you have guests.
  • The rule is that everyone must be seated properly on the seat.
  • No one can sit on a lap or stand.
Please keep everyone safe by obeying the rules.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
Thank you,
